Senior Technical Support Engineer 

We are currently looking to recruit a senior technical support engineer for our client based in the south east.

In this role you will provide technical leadership and provide support across the company both here in Ireland, UK and US to the support team who deliver a range of complex technical activities that have agreed service level agreements for both internal and external customers.  Role will involve working on a rotating 24/7 on call.  This role encompasses many roles and responsibilities including

• Service Management

• Availability Management

• Problem Management

• Release and Deployment

• Change Management

• Risk Management

• Supplier Management

 

Key Qualifications & Skills required for this role

• Bachelor degree in IT discipline

• Previous ITIL experience and accreditation

• Knowledge expert in Business Continuity Planning

• Can demonstrate a thorough understanding  of applicable project management standards and procedures

• Clear understanding and experience in managing business-critical incidents

• Demonstrate key troubleshooting  skills  & monitoring of performance metrics

• Ability to analyse software issues for any repeat problems and how to solve these issues by improving product performance

• Strong communicator and ability to remain focused whilst problem solving

• Good team player who can work with several teams both onsite and offsite
