Project Manager

Role Description
The successful candidate will be an experienced project manager with a proven track record in managing business and technology projects in large organsiations in one or more of the following areas;Financial Services, Technology, Higher Education or Government.

The role requires strong project management skills, and an ability to deliver complex technology or business solutions in a client-facing environment. Candidates require excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels within organsiations.

Main Responsibilities
•    Defines and drives projects from initiation stage to project close using structured methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2/PMBOK).
•    Ensures that project vision, scope and goals are clearly defined and that key stakeholders are identified and on-boarded
•    Manages project scope, roles and responsibilities and communications plan
•    Defines and manages the project plan
•    Manages stakeholder expectations and communication
•    Manages risks and issues and ensures that issues and risks are actioned and mitigated in a timely manner.
•    Management of multiple stakeholders across multiple business and technical groups
•    Creation of status reports for management stakeholders
•    Ability to work under pressure and deliver.
•    Maintain strong client focus at all times.
•    Facilitation of client workshops to present and validate and achieve stakeholder consensus on business approaches, requirements or plans
•    4+ years Project Management experience
•    4+ plus years technical and business delivery experience
•    Excellent leadership experience, team management, working across multiple work streams
•    Ability to communicate complex issues to both senior management and to the delivery team
•    Proven ability to shape and drive a project from initiation stage to project close.
•    Proven delivery track record in managing/supporting IT/ Business projects and stakeholders.
•    Strong Executive Presence, ability to interact and influence at senior management and above level.
•    Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to handle and address ambiguity head-on
•    Excellent project management skills.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong relationship building and communications abilities
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•    Strong Microsoft Project skills, along with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills.
•    Knowledge of PPM tools would be an advantage
•    Previous experience of managing and collaborating with large, disparate and often virtual teams
•    Previous experience working in Financial Services, Technology, Higher Education or Government
•    PMP, IPMA or PRINCE certified
•    Relevant 3rd level qualification
