BUSINESS ANALYST

Role Description
The successful candidate will be an experienced Business Analyst with a proven track record in one or more of the following areas; Financial Services, Technology, Higher Education or Government.

The role requires strong business analysis skills and the ability to deliver complex technology or business solutions in a client-facing environment. Candidates require excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels within organsiations.

Main Responsibilities
•    Gathering, analysing and documenting requirements using Business Analysis techniques with a consultative approach to capture both functional and technical requirements
•    Using appropriate techniques and tools to capture ‘as is’ processes and working with the business and IT stakeholders to define and document ‘to be’ processes
•    Working effectively with technical and implementation teams to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly
•    Facilitating requirements gathering workshops and managing follow-up activities
•    Excellent attention to detail and document creation skills
•    Working with client stakeholders to ensure that captured requirements are measurable, testable and have an associated business benefit
•    Excellent client stakeholder engagement skills
•    Excellent communication skills with clients of all levels and with fellow project team members
•    Be able to respond effectively in a dynamic project environment and work to tight and sometimes challenging deadlines
•    Utilising efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve quality
•    Providing support to both internal and external teams during test execution

Requirements:
•    3 years Business Analysis experience
•    Experience capturing and documenting requirements
•    Experience designing and running requirements gathering workshops
•    Experience using appropriate tools for business process mapping and modelling
•    Experience in the development of business cases
•    Ability to develop strong relationship with client stakeholders of all levels
•    Ability to develop strong relationship with both technical and non-technical members of the team
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Strong analytical skills
•    Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals and realise value
•    Ability to contribute to the creation of an environment that motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team
•    Knowledge of structured project management methodologies would be an advantage
•    Knowledge of lean process re-engineering techniques would be an advantage
Qualifications:
•    Degree of equivalent in a relevant discipline
•    ISEB or IIBA certifications in business analysis - Certification is preferred but not mandatory
